These terms and conditions explain how this website should be used and how I provide my services.

1. About Razor Sharp

Razor Sharp is a sole-trader business based in Somerset, England.

Registered business address

Razor Sharp, Office 1.4, Bath St Business Hub, 22 Bath Street, Frome, BA11 1DL, England

2. Using this website

You may browse the website and read its content freely. You agree not to:

  • Use the site for illegal purposes
  • Try to damage or disrupt the website
  • Copy or reproduce content without permission.

All content is owned by Razor Sharp unless stated otherwise.

3. Enquiries and communication

Submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract.

A contract only exists when we both agree in writing to work together, usually via proposal or email confirmation.

I aim to respond promptly to enquiries, but I do not guarantee a specific response time.

4. Services

All work is carried out according to a mutually agreed scope.

This may be outlined in:

  • An email
  • A proposal
  • A quote
  • A project brief, or scope-of-work document.

These documents form part of the agreement between us.

5. Timelines

Project timelines will be discussed and agreed before any work begins.

Timelines may need to change if:

  • You request extra features
  • You delay providing information or feedback
  • Unexpected events or circumstances
  • There are technical issues outside of my control.

I will always update you if a timeline needs adjusting.

6. Payments and refunds

Payment terms will be clearly outlined in the proposal or work agreement.

Refunds

  • If you cancel a project before work begins, a refund may be offered at my discretion
  • If work has already started, refunds are typically not available for time already spent
  • Deposits or upfront payments are generally non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

If you have concerns about a project or work completed, please contact me and I will do my best to resolve it.

7. Intellectual property and attribution rights

Unless we agree otherwise in writing:

  • You own the final deliverables you pay for (e.g., website code, designs, documents)
  • I retain attribution rights for all work I create, unless you request a change before work begins and we agree this in writing
  • I own the underlying skills, methods, processes and reusable components used to create the work
  • I may use anonymised or attributed versions of the work in my portfolio unless you request otherwise
  • Third-party licences (software, libraries, frameworks) also apply where relevant.

8. Accuracy of information

I will always aim to keep all website information accurate and up-to-date. However, I cannot guarantee that everything is always correct.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

  • I am not liable for any damages arising from your use of this website
  • For paid services, I hold professional indemnity insurance covering up to £1,000,000 of loss
  • I am not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption
  • Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under UK law.
